Starting from the academic year 2025-2026 I will be coordinating PhDs in the Doctoral School of Administrative Sciences at the University of Bucharest. Prospective students are encouraged to e-mail me before the start of the admission process (which will be in July) with an overview of their proposed topic and research project (by the end of June at the latest). My areas of interest and expertise are:
- Electoral policies (e.g. electoral systems, compulsory voting, electoral rights, financing electoral campaigns, constituency design)
- Democracy and democratic resilience (e.g. political participation, democratic institutions, digital democracy, democratic erosion, instruments for democratic resilience, policies and institutions for democratic consolidation)
- Normative approaches to public policies
- Ethics and public administration (e.g. applications of ethical theories to public administration problems, institutional and individual public integrity, corruption and public administration)
